Rajesh shines in Bihar big win over Sikkim

Patna, December 20, 2009: Bihar carved out another impressive 142-run victory over Sikkim in the limited over BCCI Associates and Affiliates under-19 tournament in Raipur on Sunday.

According to information reached here, this was the fourth straight win for Bihar in the tournament.

It was the day of Bihar skipper Kumar Aditya, who played a rapid fire innings of 83 runs with seven boundaries and one six. In form Mangal Mahrour scored a magnificent 81 runs with 5 fours. Bihar piled up 292 runs for the loss of four wickets off 50 overs. Rajesh Singh contributed unbeaten 41 runs down the order.

Rajesh shone again in the second part of the match. In Sikkim’s run chase, Rajesh came as a big hurdle with his bowling. He grabbed four wickets for 39 runs to skittle out Sikkim for 150 runs off 35.1 overs. Sikkim captain Leeyung played sedate knock of 52 runs with five hits to the fence.
