Patna, November 29, 2009: A brilliant quadruple of goals by Robin Soren piloted Purnia to a 7-1 victory over Madhubani in the 61st Bihar State football championships for the Moinul Haq Trophy in Purnia on Sunday.
According to information reached here, Robin Soren scored first goal in the opening minute of the match. He netted the second in the 8th minute. He scored two more goals to complete his quadruple in the 37th and the fourth in 70th minute of the game.
Pawan Kumar Hembram (31st), Faggu Tudu (71st) and Baiju Basera (75th) made it 7-0 for Purnia. Sagun Roy of Madhubani struck the lone goal for his team in the 42nd minute (1-7). Robin Soren of Purnia was adjudged player of the match.
