Mahant Harihar Das School in Sukhdeo cricket second round

Mahant Harihar Das High School cruised into the second round of the 24th Sukhdeo Narain memorial inter-school cricket tournament defeating Kids Care Residential Academy, Hajipu by six wickets at the DVA School (BSEB Colony) ground here on Wednesday.

Batting first, Kids Care boys garnered only 76 runs while Mahant Harihar Das boys reached the victory target losing only four wickets on the way. Anand Kumar, who captured three wickets and made 18 runs for winning team, got the man of the match award. Former Bihar Ranji Trophy player Vishnu Shankar presented the award.

Brief scores: Kids Care Academy: 76 all out 21.2 overs (Sameer Kumar 12, Suraj 14, Anand Kumar 3 for 20, Ranjit Kumar 2 for 20, Munna 2 for 19 and Chandan Kumar 2 for 14). Mahant Haihar Das School: 77 for 4 off 11.4 overs (Anand 18, Sanjeev 22, Munna 16, Atul Ranjan 2 for 25).

St Dominic Savio School advance

St Dominic Savio School, Danapur, chalked out a fighting 11-run win over Mount Carmel School, Patna City, in the Super 30 Challenge Cup inter-school cricket tournament at the Patna College ground on Wednesday.

Rajnish of St Dominic Savio was adjudged man of the match of his impressive 32 runs.

In the second match of the day St Joseph’s School outplayed NS School by 45 runs. Rajshekhar of St Joseph’s, who bagged four wickets for only 7 runs was awarded man of the match for his distinguished performance.

All Bihar Squash Association

Bihar Squash Association renamed itself as All Bihar Squash Association in meeting of the body held on Wednesday. Sanjeev Shankar has been chosen as president of the association.

Other office bearers: Rajesh Kumar (vice-president), Kasuhal Kishore Singh (secretary), Arunav Ganguly (joint secretary), AK Dehloni (treasurer), Rajnath Khanna, Manindar Singh, Vaidyanath Prasad and Virendra Prasad Sinha (all members).
