Dev Priya faces Adamya Vikrant in tennis final

Dev Priya Jaiswal of Bihar set up title clash with state-mate Adamy Vikrant in the U-18 boys singles of the All India Tennis Association Talent Series tournament at the Patliputra Colony tennis courts here on the morrow.

Dev Priya quelled the challenge from Amarendra S Chaudhary (Uttar Pradesh) 6-2, 6-2 while Adamya Vikrant got the better of another Bihar lad 6-1, 6-4 in the semi-finals on Thursday.

Dev Priya will take another shot at the boys' U-18 doubles too. Pairing with Ishan Priyadarshi, Dev outplayed the pair of Anish Anupam and Aman Kumar 6-0, 6-2 in the first semi-finals.

The UP-Bihar combination of Amarendra S Chaudhary and Adamya Vikrant drubbed Shri Krishna and Tilak Raj 6-0, 6-1 in the other semi-finals.

Results: Boys U-18 quarter-finals: Dev Priya Jaiswal beat Ishan Ravi 6-0, 6-2; Amarendra Singh Chaudhary beat venkat Siddharth 6-2, 6-2; Ishan Verma beat Rishi Raj 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 and Adamya Vikrant beat Ishan Priyadarshi 5-7, 6-3, 6-1.

Results boys' under-18 (second round): Devpriya Jaiswal beatt Gautam Kumar 6-1, 6-0; Ishan Ravi beat Aman Kumar 6-7 (II), 6-3, 6-3; Venkat Siddharth beat Srikrishna 6-0, 6-2; Amarendra Singh Choudhary bt Rakesh Kumar 6-1, 6-0; Ishan Verma beat Anish Anupam 7-5, 2-6, 6-3; Rishuraj beat Sanskrit Singh 6-4, 6-2; Ishan Priyadarshi beat Quasim Masumi 6-1, 6-1 and Adamya Vikrant beat Kumar Mangalam 6-0, 6-0.

Sub-junior volleyball at Banka

The Bihar Volleyball Association and Banka District Volleyball Association will jointly organise 30th Bihar State sub-junior volleyball championships (boys and girls) at Banka from November 15 to 17.

Bihar Volleyball Association secretary Ramashish Singh said Bihar teams for sub-junior Nationals to be held in Jammu from November 27 would be selected during the Banka meet.

Moinul Haq Trophy football
The 60th Bihar state inter-district football championship for the Moinul Haq Trophy will be held at Gaya from January 4 next, according to Jwala Prasad Sinha, office secretary, Bihar Football Association.

Judo championship

The Bihar state junior judo championship will be held at BMP-5, Phulwarisharif campus from November 6, according to Ram Uday Singh, secretary, Bihar Judo Association. He said that on the basis of the championship the state team would be selected. The state team will take part in the junior National judo championship to be held in Imphal from November 22.
