Danapur division thrashed Jamalpur 5-3 in the inaugural match of the Bernard Shield football tournament at the Jagjiwan Stadium in Khagaul on Tuesday.
Arjun Tudu of Danapur struck three goals for the winners. He was later adjudged best player of the match.
Earlier, Divisional Rail Manager (Danapur) Radheraman inaugurated the tournament.
