Patna Women's College 'A' clinch Valentine's Day throwball cup

Could you find a link between Valentine’s Day and throwball? You just can’t. Throwball Association of Bihar (TAB) has been organizing a tournament on this very day for the past six years at the Patna Women’s College here. 7th edition of the Valentine’s Day throwball tournament witnessed girls taking part with great zeal and enthusiasm. Eventually, Patna Women's College 'A' retained the seventh Valentine's Day Cup winning all their matches in the three-team round-robin league..

In the first match, Patna Women's College 'A' defeated Patna Women’s College 'B' 15-3, 15-3. Skipper Sumedha Komal, Setu Shekhar and Neha Singh of the winning team played well. In the second match, Yellow Panther beat Patna Women's College 'B' 15-6, 15-2. In the third match, Patna Women's College 'A' kept their slate clean beating Yellow Panther 15-11, 9-15, 15-13.

Earlier, Sister Doris D' Souza, Principal, Patna Women's College inaugurated the tournament. Naina Jha, cabinet secretary of the college, welcomed the guests. SB Prasad, working president, Throwball Association of Bihar (TAB) distributed the prizes. Niraj Kumar Pappu, secretary, TAB presided over the function.
