Shashim Rathore (35) and Rsihav (32) helped SKP XI post six-wicket victory over Pratik Narain XI in the inaugural match of the first All India Pratik Narain memorial under-17 cricket tournament at the DAV Public School, BSEB Colony ground, here on Sunday.
Batting first Pratik Narain XI scored 118 runs off 26.5 overs while SKP XI chased the target comfortable losing four wickets on the way. Sachin Sharma of SKP XI, who claimed two wickets for 15 runs, was declared man of the match.
Earlier, Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) chairman Swapan Mukherjee inaugurated the tournament. Former international umpire LP Verma, former Bihar Ranji Trophy players Sunil Kumar Singh, Nikhilesh Ranjan and Suraj Narain Lal, vice-president of the Patna District Cricket Association, Bijoy Kumar Narain Chunnu and Prof Daisy Narain were present at the inaugural function. Organising secretary, Aditya Verma proposed a vote of thanks.
