Ashish, Kamalesh stars in NYKCC win

Ashish Sinha (43) and Kamalesh four wickets for 12 runs helped Nehru Yuvak Kendra Cricket Club (NYKCC) Patna, post an impressive five-wicket victory over South Eastern Railway, Tata Nagar (Jamshedpur) in a quarter-final match of the second Archana Sharma memorial cricket tournament at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Tuesday.

Kamlesh of NYKCC who ran through Tata Nagar innings, was declared man of the match.
Batting first, Tata Nagar could muster 122 runs off 30.4 overs. Mohit Sharma top scored with 32 runs. Ajit (13) NS Krishnayati (19) were the other notable contributor.

In reply, NYKCC scored the required runs in 34.1 overs for the loss of five wickets. Ashish Sinha’s knock contained six hits to the fence. Rajiv (26) and K Aditya (19) were the other useful rungetters for the winners..

SRV, Lucknow in semi-finals
Abhishek Paul took five wickets for 15 runs as SRV Lucknow hammered SKP XI, Patna by 76 runs in the opening match of the third Archana Sharma memorial cricket tournament at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Monday.

Batting first, SRV boys scored 211 runs for the loss of eight wickets off 40 overs with a delightful half-century from Atul Singh (58). Sanjeev (43), Vikas Yadav (34) and Vimal Gautam (29) too came good with bats. Kundan Gupta captured three wickets for 47 runs.

In reply, SKP XI could manage to score 135 runs off 33.3 overs. Nishanth (43), Prabhat (24) and Sanjay Sinha (19) were the other prominent scorers. Besides Paul’s five wickets blitz, Jitendra claimed two wickets for 20 runs.
