Patna Super Division soccer league: Convincing wins for Civil Audit and Bihar Police

Patna, July 24, 2009:
Civil Audit Recreation Club and Bihar Police won their respective matches in the SP Sinha memorial Patna Super Division football league here. Civil Audit prevailed over Bihar State Electricity Board 3-0 while Bihar Police crushed Secretariat Sports Club 5-0.

At Patna High School ground, Civil Audit dominated the play. Praveen Sanjay Soren opened the account in the 10th minute. Just after five minutes Soren struck another goal to take the lead to 2-0. At the end of the first half’s play, Civil Audit were leading 2-0.


Imtyaz netted the third and the last goal of the match in the 70th minute of the game. Babloo Kumar and Imtyaz (both from Civil Audit) were shown yellow cards for rough play.

At Gandhi Maidan, Secretariat Sports Club deserted the ground after 21 minutes of play due to shortage of players. At that time Bihar Police pumped in five goals on Secretariat. Rahul Shah struck four goals for Bihar Police while Monu Lama scored one.
