The 13th SAARC carrom championship will be held at MIG club, Mumbai from August 7 to 9. The championship is being hosted by Maharashtra Carrom Association under the auspices of All India Carrom Federation.
According to Bharat Bhushan, secretary, Bihar State Carrom Association, out of the 12 SAARC carrom championships held from the year 1997 so far, Maledives organised the event as many as eight times. India hosted the event in 2004 at Delhi and once again at Nagpur in the year 2007. Sri Lanka and Bangaladesh have organised the championship once each, in the year 2003 and 2006.
