Inter-school football: St Michael's School 'A' bounce back to beat St Xavier's School

Patna, July 27, 2009:
Despite trailing 0-1 in the first half, St Michael’s School ‘A’ dished out 2-1 victory over St Xavier’s High School in the inter-school football tournament at their home ground here on Monday. In the second match of the day, Don Bosco Academy defeated St Michael’s School ‘B’ 2-0.

St Xavier’s lads got into the act in the first half as striker Simon put St Xavier’s into the lead scoring the first goal of the match in the 10th minute (1-0).

After the breather, St Michael’s School ‘A’ boys bounced back and played like a well-knit unit to level the score. Striker Zeeshan Ali found the target in the 50th minute to equalize the score (1-1). Three minutes later, Yuvraj netted in the second goal for St Michael’s ‘A’ team (2-1).

In the second match, Don Bosco Academy were leading 2-0 in the first half. Anshuman scored both the goals in the 7th and 21st minutes respectively.
