Civil Audit trounce Raj Milk 3-1

Civil Audit Recreation Club continued to put impressive show in the SP Sinha memorial Patna Super Division football league as in a business-like fashion on Friday they prevailed over Raj Milk Football Club 3-1 at Gandhi Maidan here.


Civil Audit Club strikers shot all the necessary winning goals in the first half and took 3-0 lead.

The first goal of the match for Civil Audit came through a spot kick in the 15th minute of the game. Ranjit Kumar shot home to put his side 1-0 up. Babloo Kumar Sinha scored the second and third goals of the match in the 35th and 38th minutes respectively (3-0).

Raj Milk Football Club fought well in the second half. Raj Milk strikers raided rival territory umpteen times but poor finish came into their way. Raj Milk finally broke the jinx through a penalty kick in the 85th minute of the match. Ola took the spot kick to beat Civil Audit Club custodian (3-1).

The game, however, was marred by some rough tackles from both the sides. Md Afzal and Nadir Parvez of Raj Milk FC and Ranjit and Babloo Kumar Sinha of Civil Audit Club were shown yellow cards by referee.

In the second match, State Bank of India (SBI) held Patna Police to a 1-1 draw at the Patna High School ground. At the end of the first half both the teams failed to break the deadlock.

SBI striker, Navin Tudu found the target in the 53rd minute (1-0) while Chhote Sil equlalised the score in the dying moments of the match (1-1). Rajesh Kumar of Patna Police was shown yellow card by referee for rough play.
