Patna, July 3, 2009Patna Police prevailed over Secretariat Sports Club 3-1 in the SP Sinha memorial Patna super division soccer league at the Patna High School ground here on Friday.
The first saw both the teams scoring one goal each.
Panna Lal opened the account for Patna Police in the 23rd minute. Avinash Kumar of Secretariat equalised the score in the 32nd minute (1-1). Jawahar Yadav put Patna Police into the lead in the 47th minute (2-1). Firoz Khan increased the margin in the 50th minute (3-1).
At Gandhi Maidan, Bihar Police got an walk-over against STC.
Earlier, on Thursday Police Boys’ Club chalked out a solitary goal victory over Patna Police. Striker Sonu Kumar scored the match winner in the 30th minute.
