AITA talent series: Adamya, Ishank set up title clash in boys' U-14 singles

Patna, July 16, 2009:
Adamya Vikrant (Bihar) will take on his statemate Ishank Ravi in the boys’ under-14 singles final of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) talent series tournament.

In the semifinals played at the Patliputra Colony courts here onThursday, Adamya beat Vishu Prasad (Delhi) 6-4, 7-5 while Ishank defeated Venkat Siddharth (Bihar) 6-1, 6-0 to set up final showdown.

Results:
Boys’ under-12 singles (semi-finals): Vishu Prasad (Delhi) beat Ritwik Bhriguvanshi (Bihar) 6-0, 6-1; Shree Krishna (Bihar) beat Adarsh Anand (Bihar) 6-1, 6-2.

Boys’ under-14 doubles (semi-finals): Adamya Vikrant (Bihar) and Venkat Siddharth (Bihar) beat Parth Dixit (CG) and Asher John Kandahil (UP) 6-0, 6-2; Vishu Prasad (Delhi) and Shree Krishna (Bihar) beat Yash Raj Sharan (Bihar) and Anshumat Srivastav (Bihar) 6-1, 6-2.

Boys’ under-12 doubles (semi-finals): Vishu Prasad (Delhi) and Shree Krishna (Bihar) beat Nilay Mishra (Bihar) and Ankit Anand (Bihar) 6-1, 6-2; Ritwik Bhriguvanshi (Bihar) and Adarsh Anand (Bihar) beat Parth Dixit (CG) and Asher John Kandahil (UP) 6-0, 6-3.
