Inter-school soccer: Loyola School and DPS enter semi-finals

Loyola High School and Delhi Public School (DPS) moved into the semi-finals of Inter-school football tournament at St Michael’s School ground here on Tuesday. Loyola School wiped out St Xavier’s School 5-0 while DPS crushed St Michael’s School ‘B’ 3-0 to book berths in semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, St Michael’s School ‘A’ will take on Don Bosco Academy while Loyola School will face DPS for a place in the final.

Zeeshan Hussain opened the account for Loyola in the 7th minutes. Abhijeet increased the margin in the 14th minute. Abhinav made it 3-0 in the 27th minute while Zeeshan took the tally to 4-0 with a 36th minute burst.

At the breather, Loyola boys were leading 4-0. In the second half, Ratnesh hit the target the 49th minute to make it 5-0.

In the second match of the day, Abhijeet Kaushik scored twice (16th and 30th) for DPS in the first half. Anurag finally sealed the fate of St Michael’s School ‘B’ scoring the third and final goal of the match in the 54th minute.
