State Bank of India (SBI) handed 60-run defeat on the East Central Railway (ECR), Danapur, in the Patna District Cricket Association (PDCA) senior division league at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Thursday.
Electing to bat first, SBI made 143 runs in 29.4 overs. In reply, ECR, Danapur, stumbled against SBI’s bowler Dipendra Kumar Sinha, and were all out for 83 runs in 20 overs.Dipendra captured four wickets for 30 runs. Keshav was the only batsman to reach double figures (43). For SBI, Mridul top scored with 29 runs. Keshav Kumar, Deepak and Ajay Mshra took two wickets each.
The second match of the day saw impressive batting performance by Shasheem Rathore, who struck a fine unbeaten century for Vanijya Mahavidyalaya. Rathore 124 not out was the first century of the ongoing league. His knock contained 10 boundaries and five sixes. Eventually, Vanijya Mahavidyalaya defeated Prabha XI by 62 runs.
