Praduman, Nasrin deaf chess champions

Patna, April 5, 2009
Praduman Singh clinched the men’s title in the third Bihar state chess championship of the Deaf at the Rana Pratap Bhawan here on Sunday. Nasrin Imam won the women’s crown.

Sujata Rani claimed the girls’ title while Raushan Kumar won the boys’ title.Renowned physician Dr SN Arya distributed the prizes. Renowned orthopedics Dr RN Singh, LabourCommissioner, UN Rai and Rotary Mid Town president Rajesh Gupta graced the closing function. Dr Shiv Kumar Prasad, president, Patna District Deaf Association presided overthe function. Sudhansu Prakash proposed a vote of thanks.

Earlier, Dr Lal Bahadur Singh, Rotary District Governor (RI Dist 3250) inaugurated the two-day meet on April 4 in a simple function. Dr RN Singh was present as guest of honour in the inaugural function. Dr Shiv Kumar Prasad welcomed the guests.
