Gaurav Kumar and Saurav Anand with three points each were jointly leading the table in the boys’ section of the Bihar State U-9 chess championships at Acharya Sudarshan Central Scholl hall here on Saturday. At the end of the third round play Gaurav and Saurav had collected three points each.
Kritika Choudhary of Muzaffarpur with three points emerged sole leader in the girls section after as many rounds.
Results:
Girls (third round): Kritika Choudhary (3) beat Shreya Sankalp (2); Jahnavi (2) beat Manya Dipatam (0) and Garima Gaurav (2) beat Akhauri Sakshi (0).
Boys (third round): Gaurav Kumar (3) beat Kumar Gaurav (2); Saurav Anand (3) beat Akhauri Harshit (2); Shivansh (2.5) beat Veer Sharma (1); Amrit Verma (2) beat Nayan Kumar (1.5); Ashutosh Kumar (2) beat Abhinit Kumar (1); Subrata (2) beat Rishi Rishabh (1); Utkarsh Sinha (1) beat Tushar Sinha (1) and Kumar Harsh Vardhan Singh (1) beat Nilesh Kumar (0).
