Panchsheel Cricket Club proved too good for Bata in the Patna District Cricket Association (PDCA) senior division league at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Thursday. In a one sided match Pnachseel crushed Bata by 90 runs. Earlier in the first match, Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) beat Adhikari XI by one wicket in a grueling battle.
Batting first, Panchsheel scored 166 runs for the loss of eight wickets with Atish emerging as the top scorer (40), Mani Bhushan claimed three wickets for 20 runs.
In reply, Bata were all out for a paltry 76 on the board off 26 overs. Pintu took four wickets for 13 runs.
The first match of the day saw Adhikari XI making 151 runs off 29.3 overs. Deepak Kumar (44), Sonal Roy (24) and Manish Kumar (27) did the bulk of the scoring. Saurav Singh grabbed four wickets for 25 runs.
In reply, BSEB struggled hard and finally won it in a cliff-hanger by one wicket on the last ball of the innings. Abhinav Verma was the architect of BSEB victory with his unbeaten 79 runs. Amit )3 for 21) and Abhishek Kumar (2 for 22) were the main wicket takers for Adhikari XI.
