Uttar Pradesh defeated Himachal Pradesh 6-0 in the first
match played today. Uttar Pradesh, who led 4-0 at the half time, scored through
Mohini Nishad (2nd and 22nd minutes), Sonal Tiwari (7th minute)
and Nilamjati (12th minute).
In the second half of the game Uttar Pradesh scored another
two goals through Ananaya Verma in the 46th and Khushboo Kumari in the
59th minute.
In another game of the Pool-B, Punjab beat Chandigarh 5-1.
Haryana will now face Uttar Pradesh in the first semi-final
while Chandigarh will take on Delhi in the second semi-final.
