Jharkhand girls face Odisha in East Zone Sub-Junior National Hockey final

New Delhi, April 6, 2013: Jharkhand will face Odisha in the final of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (East Zone) at Nagaon in Assam on April 8.

Jharkhand defeated Bengal in the first semi-final played today. Pramila Soreng scored three goals for Jharkhand followed by Nisha Rani (2), Betan Dung Dung (2), Ebha Kerketta (1) and Divya Dung Dung (1).

Odisha beat Assam 6-0 in the second semi-final. Anjlina Minz and Elima Minz scored twice each while Manju Lakra and Asmita Barla contributed one goal each in Odisha’s victory.

Semi-final 1- Jharkhand 9 (Pramila Soreng 6, 40, 52, Ebha Kerketta 20, Nisha Rani 24, 42, Betan Dung Dung 26, 29, Divya Dung Dung 54) beat Bengal 0.

Semi-final 2- Odisha 6 (Anjlina Minz 34, 40, Manju Lakra 56, Elima Minz 57, 62 and Asmita Barla 60) beat Assam 0.
