MPHA girls win West Zone sub-junior hockey title

New Delhi, April 16, 2013: Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy defeated The Hockey Maharashtra 7-0 to clinch the title of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (West Zone) played at Mumbai Hockey Association Limited Ground in Mumbai on Tuesday.

MPHA, who led 3-0 at the half time, scored through Neelu Dadiya (16), Karishma Yadav (22, 27, 58), Rakhi Prajapati (29, 62) and Upasana Singh (69) minutes.

Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy team, which remained undefeated in the championship, looked quite confident in the final against The Hockey Maharashtra and they built pressure on their opponents from the starting of the game.
