Senior women Indian hockey team departs for Rotterdam


New Delhi, April 20, 2013: Indian senior women hockey team left for Rotterdam, Netherlands on Saturday morning from here for preparations of the FIH Women Hockey World League Round- 3(semifinals) to be there from June 13-23.

Indian team will be playing five matches at Rotterdam from April 22-29, including one against  Dutch national team and four against Dutch club teams.

Indian team has qualified for the FIH World League Round-3(semifinals) in February this year. FIH World League is also qualifier for the World Cup 2014 to be played in Hague.

Team: Goalkeepers: Savita, Rajni Etimarpu; Defenders: Deep Grace Ekka, Kirandeep Kaur, Deepika, Namita Toppo, Sushila Chanu, M N Ponnamma, Sunita Lakra. Midfielders: Ritu Rani, Monika, Vandana Katariya, Lilima Minz. Forwards: Soundarya Yendala, Rashmi Singh, Anupa Barla, Rani, Poonam Rani.
