New Delhi, April 13, 2013: Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh from
Pool A and hosts Haryana and Delhi from Pool B entered the semifinals of the 3rd Hockey
India Sub-Junior Men National Championship (North Zone) played at Sonepat on
Saturday.
Hosts Haryana registered easy victory 13-0 over Jammu &
Kashmir while Punjab beat Himachal Pradesh 3-0
in Pool B.
In Pool A, Chandigarh
defeated Uttarakhand 5-3.
Hosts Haryana will take on Chandigarh
in the first semifinal while Punjab will face
Uttar Pradesh on in the second semifinal.
Pool A- Chandigarh 5 (Manjinder Singh 11, Hartaj Singh
Aujla 18, Harkirat Singh 21, Harmeet Singh 45 and Milanpreet Singh 47)
beat Uttarakhand 3(Vikas Joshi 16, Raj Kumar 32 and Rahul Kumar 38)
Pool B- Punjab 3 (Kawaljit Singh 2, Ajmer Singh 26
and Dharminder Singh 69) beat Himachal Pradesh 0.
Haryana 13 (Amit 6, 50, 70, Viney 12, 20, 52, 56, Amit
22, Kuldeep 24, 33, Akshay Antil 29, 58 and Mohit 45) beat Jammu &
Kashmir 0.
