Tamil Nadu prove too good for Uttarakhand

New Delhi, April 19, 2013:  Tamil Nadu defeated Uttarakhand 4-1 in their Pool A league match on the day-2 of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Women National Hockey Championship played at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in Lucknow on Friday.

For Tamil Nadu Shenbaga Valli struck two goals in 61 and 67 minutes. Kiruthika also scored a goal for their team. In fourth minutes Tamil Nadu got the advantage of an own goal. For Uttarakhand Anjali scored a goal in 37 minute.

In pool C,  The Hockey Maharashtra and Kerala played a 2-2 draw to split points. 

In Pool G, Odisha beat Himachal Pradesh. Sarojini Ekka (29), Elima Minz (50) andRani Yadav (51, 59) scored for Odisha.

In pool E Chhattisgarh got walkover from Arunachal Pradesh.
