All India Fide Rating Chess Tournament begins in Muzaffarpur


Muzaffarpur, April 10, 2013: All India FIDE Rating Chess Tournament started here at Farm Villa Utsav Parisar, Khabra.  Local MLA Suresh Sharma inaugurated the event by playing an inaugural game against "Gaurav-Saurav", upcoming rising star of Bihar in the presence of International Arbiter Dharmendra Kumar, the Chief Arbiter, Ravindra Kumar, the Chairman, Muzaffarpur Chess Club, Avinash Kumar, a well-known social worker and Abhash Kumar, Director Muzaffarpur Chess Club and the Organising Secretary of the tournament.

Vijay Jamuar (FIDE Rating-1977) of Bhojpur lost his first game against an unrated player, Fazal Aziz Khan of Gopalganj. It may be noted that a few month back, Vijay has won the open rating chess tournament at Kolkata. On the others board, all seeded players opened their account with full points except Deenanath Mishra (1610), who lost against Pappu Kumar.
