Rohtak, November 6, 2012: Odisha and Madhya Pradesh
Hockey Academy
boys entered the final of 2nd Hockey India Sub-Junior Boys & Girls
National Championship at Rohtak on Tuesday.
In the first semi-final match Odisha boys beat SAI Bhopal
7-1. Teophill Kujuar (6th, 8th minute) and Felix Baa (11th, 14th minute)
scored twice for Odisha followed by Ashok Lakra(18th minute), Suman Sachin
Kindo(51stminute) and Nilam Sanjeer(61st minute) while SAI Bhopal’s only
reply came from Harish Pal in the 21st minute.
In the second semi-final Madhya
Pradesh Hockey
Academy beat Punjab
3-1. Zubeer Khan (2nd, 24th minute) and Abay Khan (32nd minute) are
the goal scorers for MPHA while Shamsher Singh scored the only goal for Punjab .
In the final match Odisha boys take on Madhya
Pradesh Hockey
Academy while Punjab
will face SAI Bhopal in the 3rd/4th position match to be played on
Wednesday, November 7.
In the final match of girls category hosts Haryana will face
Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy while Mizoram will take on Jharkhand for 3rd/4th position
match to be played on Wednesday, November7.
In the first semi-final Madhya Pradesh
Hockey Academy
girls beat Jharkhand 3-0. Preeti Dubey(17th, 62nd minute) and Priyanka
Wankhede (48th minute) scored for MPHA.
In the second semi-final hosts Haryana beat Mizoram 6-0.
Devika topped the score list of Haryana with three goals followed by one goal
each from Navneet Kaur, Sonika and Ritu.
