Bangalore, November 5, 2012: Kolkata’s Green Gang
played spectacularly by hitting 462 as a total nett score to top the leader
board on day one of Touche Golf League, cavalry round at the Clover Greens Golf
Club in Bangalore. Delhi ’s Classic Ambush, who
made it to the finals last year, scored 477 as a team total to finish the round
as second while Bangalore ’s
Pin High and Pin High Aces were third and fourth with the total score of 481
and 488 respectively.
Ahmedabad Tigers gang who were representing West Zone came
up with a total team score of 493 in a tie along with The Bandits from Hyderabad to get fifth
place.
Another Kolkata’s gang The Avengers with the famous golfer
like Lakshman Singh, finished the day at a low seventh with the total score of
498 while one shot behind was Mumbai Marauders – Sword Horde who registered the
bottom place at 499.
All eight gangs will play in a match play format according
to their seedings tomorrow. The top two gangs from tomorrow’s round will head
to play the finals, also called as Gladiator round in Bangkok next month.
