Railways registered their second consecutive win against
Kerala 17- 1 in Pool A to qualify for the quarter-finals. Poonam Rani topped
the score list with five goals followed by Vandana Katariya (4), Jasjeet Kaur
(2), Anupa Barla (2), Soundarya Yendala (1), Ramneek Kaur (1), Yogita Bali (1)
and Deep Grace Ekka (1) while Neethu Thambi scored the only goal for Kerala. In
their earlier match played on Monday Railways beat Maharashtra
9-0.
Unbeaten Odisha topped Pool C with 5-0 win over Hockey
Bhopal to enter the quarterfinals. Odisha who led 3-0 at the half time scored
through Namita Toppo (2), Birajini Ekka (1), Nilima Minz (1) and Elin Lakra
(1).
Ranjita scored three goals as the Madhya Pradesh
Hockey Academy
raced to a 6-0 win against Chhattisgarh in concluding Pool E match to enter the
quarterfinals. Ranjita secured a hat-trick while Kavita
Vidyarthi, Apoorva Vishwakarma and Ritusha Arya scored one goal
each.
Tamil Nadu drew 2-2 with Rajasthan in Pool C match.
