Patna Super Division football league: BRC annihilate Secretariat 9-0

Bihar Regimental Centre, Danapur, kept their slate clean trouncing Secretariat 9-0 in the SP Sinha memorial Patna Super Division soccer league at the Patna High School ground while Police Boys’ Club edged past Rainbow 3-1 at Gandhi Maidan here on Thursday.


BRC shot to a commanding 8-0 lead in the first half.

Jitan Lohar (two), RK Mahto (two), Dil Bahadur Thapa (one), Binod Lohar (one), Chinna Marandi (one), Jinnah Marandi (one) and Rajnish Kumar (one) struck for the winners. BRC so far have collected 21 points in seven matches.

Uttam Kumar drew the first blood for Police Boys’ Club in the 23rd minute (1-0). Shahabuddin Khan increased the margin in the 33rd minute (2-0). D Handa reduced the score in the 47th minute (2-1). Praveen Kumar completed the tally in the 74th minute (3-1).

Vikas Kumar and Vidya Kant Singh of Rainbow Club and Uttam Kumar of Police Boys’ Club were shown the yellow cards by referee Kailash Prasad for rough play.
