Patna, July 29, 2009:
Raj Milk chalked out fluent 5-1 win over Food Corporation of India (FCI) while Patna Police fought hard to beat Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) 1-0 in the SP Sinha memorial Patna Super Division football league here.
The match began in a sordid note for Raj Milk as defender Saroj Kumar Singh struck a suicidal goal in the 9th minute of the game off a pass from Govinda.
After gifting a goal to FCI, Raj Milk players played like a cohesive unit with perfect attacking plan. Raj Milk bounced back to bring the equalizer off a spot kick taken by Afzal in the 20th minute, Syedi made it 2-1 in the 30th minute. First half ended at 2-1 for Raj Milk.
Sulabh Rana struck twice in the second half (63rd and 73rd minutes) and Shahbaz in the 66rd minute to take the final tally to 5-1.
The second half of the game saw some rough play from both the sides. Amit Kumar of FCI was shown the door with red card while Rajan Kumar of the same team got the yellow card. Ola of Raj Milk too received a yellow card.
In the second match at the Patna High School ground, Pradeem Oraon netted the match winner for Patna Police in the 68th minute.
