Kumar Club clinched the fifth BP Sinha memorial cricket trophy defeating YCA by two runs in the final at the Patna High School ground here on Sunday.
Batting first, Kumar Club scored 147 all out off 19.2 overs. Rupak Kumar scored bulk of the runs. He slammed a quick-fire 72 runs. Animesh Sharma took six wickets for 18 runs.
In reply, YCA missed the target by just two runs after being all out of 145 off 19.2 overs. Vipesh (36), Ranjan (24) and Abhishek (23) contributed well for YCA. Badrinath captured three wickets for 23 runs.
Animesh Sharma of YCA, who claimed six wickets for 18 runs, was declared man of the match. Sushant (YCA) and Badrinath (Kumar Club) were adjudged best batsman and best bowler respectively. Kamlesh Kumar and Kislay Kishore Sharma were declared best wicketkeeper and promising player, respectively. Anjani Kumar Sinha distributed the prizes.
