Patna, August 21, 2009:Varsha Bhagyasri of Delhi Public School (DPS) won a treble in the Justice RP Mandal memorial inter-school table tennis tournament at the Bihar Young Men’s Institute hall here.
Bagyasri bagged junior girls’ singles, sub-junior girls’ singles and cadet girls’ singles crowns. Patna Central School clinched the boys’ team championship title defeating DPS 3-0 in their last round robin league encounter.
Rahul Kumar also made it a treble winning junior boys’ singles, sub-junior boys’ singles and boys’ doubles titles.
Sanjay Singh, president, Bihar Table Tennis Association (BTTA), who was the chief guest at the closing function distributed the prizes. Mukesh Roy, secretary, BTTA, welcomed the guests and Mahadeo Prasad Yadav, vice-president, BTTA, proposed a vote of thanks. Prem Kumar Singh, chairman, Patna District Table Tennis Association and Sunil Kumar, executive member, BTTA, were presentat the function.
