Patna Super Division football league: SBI shock Bihar Police

Patna, July 30, 2009:
State Bank of India (SBI) shocked Bihar Police 2-1 while Police Boys Club outplayed Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) 2-0 in the SP Sinha memorial Patna Super Division soccer league here on Thursday.


At Patna High School ground, Navin Thapa shot home in the 4oth minute to put Bihar Police into the lead. Md Kaiser equalized the lead for SBI in the 48th minute. Manoj Kumar struck the winning goal in the 54th minute.



At Gandhi Maidan, Police Boys Club and BSEB were locked goalless in the first half.

Shahbuddin Khan opened the account for Police Boys in the 70th minute while Uttam Kumar made it 2-0 in the 75th minute. Mohan Kumar of Police Boys and Shyamdev of BSEB were shown yellow cards.
