Bihar Police out of Patna Super Division football league title race

Defending champions Bihar Police failed to qualify for the semifinals of the SP Sinha memorial Patna Super Division football league at Patna High School ground here on Friday.


Needing a big win against Civil Audit Recreation Club, Bihar Police managed to play a goalless draw only to see them out of title race. With this win Civil Audit moved into the semifinals.

Bihar Police have so far played 12 matches, won seven, lost four and drew one and collected 21 points. Civil Audit Club played ten matches, won eight, lost one and drew one.

The result of the today’s match, however, proved to be a boon for FCI as they made it to the semifinals.

Ranjit Kumar Verma of Civil Audit Club was shown red card by referee Umesh Prasad Singh. Now, Ranjit will sit out in next match of the Civil Audit Club.
