Patna, April 21, 2010: East Central Railway (ECR) thrashed Muzaffarpur 64-13 in the inaugural match of the Veer Kuer Singh Gold Cup kabaddi tournament at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Wednesday.In the women’s section, Bhojpur beat East Champaran 43-6.
Earlier, Bihar government’s Human Resource Development secretary Anjani Kumar Singh inaugurated the championship in a colourful function. He was also introduced toparticipating players. Secretary-cum-director, Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA), Ajay Kumar Singh was the special on the occasion. Kumar Vijay, general secretary, Veer Kuer Singh Foundation welcomed the guests.
Results (men): ECR bt Muzaffarpur 64-13; Begusarai bt Purnia 38-20.
Women: Bhojpur bt East Champaran 43-6; Patna bt Nalanda 41-15; Muzaffarpur bt Gaya 34-12.
