Patna, May 10, 2010: Bihar junior women boxers claimed six medals including one gold in the National sub-junior and junior championships held at Erode (Tamil Nadu) from May 3 to 7.
Boxing Association of Bihar (BAB) secretary Rajiv Kumar Singh said Archana Jha clinched the gold medal in 38-40 kg bout while Varsha Rani won a silver medal in National junior boxing championships.
In the sub-junior categories four Bihar boxers Puja Kumari, Kusum Lata, Rekha Kumari and Priya Singh boxed in bronze medals.
Congratulating the Bihar team members for their grand achievement, Rajiv Kumar said BAB would organize a function to felicitate the pugilists.
