Patna claimed the women’s crown beating Begusarai 26-23.
Men’s final was a one-sided affair as East Central Railway players Narendra, Sunil, Sanjeev and Vijay displayed impressive performance in all department of the game. For Bihar Police international Ramjee Upadhyaya, Ravi and Janamjay Mishra performed well.
Women’s final was an exciting one as both the teams struggled hard to collect points. Patna women Naglaxmi, Smita, Minu and Manisha performed well in raids while Begusarai girls Devyanti, Sinku, Remi and Preeti showed their skills in catching.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was the chief guest at the closing function and he gave away the prizes. Food and Civil Supply Minister Narendra Singh, Labour Minister Awadhesh Narayan Singh, Disaster Management Minister Devesh Chandra Thakur, Bihar JD-U president Vijay Kumar Choudhary, fromer minister Ashok Kumar Singh, Shyam Rajak and Vashishtha Narayan Singh were present on the occasion.
Veer Kuer Singh Foundation secretary Kumar Vijay welcomed the guests while its president Dinesh presided over the function.
The foundation felicitated Bollywood actress Nitu Chandra, Bhojpuri singer Chhaila Bihari, Anil Parmar, Rupal Sinha, Anupama, Nilekar, Dr Upendra Prasad Singh, BK Bose, Naushad Ahmad, international kabaddi players Rajiv Kumar Singh and Smita Kumari with Veer Kuer Singh awards. Chief Minister presented them a shawl and memento.
