Patna, February 18, 2010: Chief Minister Cup cricket tournament, organized by Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA) in association with Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Department, began simultaneously at four venues of Bihar on Thursday. At the Moinul Haq Stadium here, Rohtas decimated Jehanabad by five wickets in the opening match of the Patna Zone.
Batting first Jehanabad crashed out for meager 70 runs. In reply, Rohtas achieved the target losing five wickets.
Earlier, Manoje Nath, Director General, Bihar State Sports Authority, inaugurated the tournament in simple function.
At Darbhanga, host Darbhanga edged past Madhubani by one wicket in while Lakhisarai crushed Araria by five wickets.
Brief scores: Jehanabad 70 all out (Shyam Kumar 14, Akash Deep 6 wickets for 15 runs, Alok Kumar 3 wickets for 23 runs).
Rohtas: 71 for five (Rahul Kumar 20, Anuashish 12, Aniket 12 not out, Shyam Kumar 3 for 24).
