Patna, February 12, 2010: All the leading players that included Gaurav Kumar, Kushagra Divyam and Akhauri Harshit won their respective the first round matches to earn full points in the Sudarshan Bihar under-11 chess championship at Sudarshan Central School Hall here on Friday.
Earlier, Ramdev Prasad, chairman, State Child Labour Commission inaugurated the tournament. Patna District Chess Association secretary Rakesh Ranjan welcomed the guests. Chief arbiter Dilip Bhagat proposed a vote of thanks.
Results (Boys): Gaurav Kumar (1) beat Devjit Singh (0); Kushagra Divyam (1) beat Kumar Harsh (0); Akhouri Harshit (1) beat Narmesh Navnit (0); Tushar Sinha (1) beat Pratik Raj (0); Kumar Harshwardhan Singh (1) beat Shubham Kumar (0); Sudhanshu (1) beat Adirtya Raj (0); Utkarsh Dev (1) beat Ayush Kumar (0) and Devashish Kumar (.5) drew with Durgesh Kumar (0.5)
Girls: Akansha (1) beat Abhishekta Dutta (0) and Malya Diptam (1) beat Shalini Kumari (0).
