Patna, September 26, 2009:
Preparations are on full swing at the Moinul Haq Stadium here for the 21st National sub-junior kabaddi championships to be held from October 1 to 3.
Four courts are being prepared in the ground. An office of the organizing committee has also been opened today at the New Pavilion of the stadium.
Organising Committee chairman cum principal secretary, Human Resource Department, Anjani Kumar Singh said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would inaugurate the tournament. Labour Resource Minister, Awadhesh Narain Singh and Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Minister, Renu Devi would be the special guests at the opening function. Janardan Singh Gehlot, president Asian Kabaddi Federation and Amateur Kabaddi Federation India would preside over the function.
Bihar Governor Debanand Konwar would distribute the prizes at the closing function on October 3. Patna MP, Shatrughan Sinha would preside over the function, Singh added.
