Patna, May 26, 2010: Delhi boys clinched the Acharya Sudarshan 21stJunior National throwball championships title taming Tamil Nadu 15-12,4-15, 16-14 in a three-set thriller at the Patna Central School ground here onWednesday.
Tamil Nadu, however, salvaged pride winning the girls crown defeatingDelhi 15-10, 15-8 in a one-sided encounter.
Bihar boys beat Madhya Pradesh 15-8, 13-15, 15-10 to finish third in the championships. Bihar girls too earned the third position.
Ajay Rashmi Gupta, director, Doordarshan Kendra, Patna, distributed the prizes. Patna Central School vice-principal OP Singh welcomed the guests. Acharya Sudarshan Jee Maharaj was present at the prize distribution function.
