Pravee guides Bihar to semifinals of EZ U-14 cricket

Patna, June 8, 2010: Bihar captain Pravee Ranjan led from the front with 55 runs and 2 wickets for 28 runs to help his side beat hosts Orissa by 151 runs in the East Zone under-14 cricket tournament in Cuttack.

Things went right for Bihar from the start as Pravee won the toss and elected to bat first. Bihar scored 281 runs in 49.2 overs. Chandan (48, 8x4), Anujeet (35, 2x4), Vibhuti Bhashkar (21, 2x4), Ajeet (36, 2x4), Pravee (55, 6x4) and Sanjeet (29, 6x4) batted with guts and agility.

Mohit M was the claimed three wickets for 49 runs. Rajkishan Patel took two wickets for 31 runs.

In reply, Orissa could manage to score 130 runs off 48.2 overs. Ayashkant top scored with 28 runs. Vishwajit (20), Devanand (25) and Pushkar Raj (16) were other notable scorers.

Sanjeet and Anukul Ashish both took three wickets each for 26 and 25 runs respectively.
Rohit Mehta and Pravee got two wickets each for 17 and 28 runs respectively.
