Champaran reached the final of the Bihar State Women's Football
Championship for S.Ejaz Husain Cup defeating Sitamarhi 3-1 in the first semifinal
here on Wednesday.
Manish Kumar opened the account for West
Champaran in the 4th minute. She struck again in the 17th
minute to take the tally to 2-0.
Ritika Kumari increased the lead for West
Champaran in the 35th minute to make it 3-0 while Sangita
Kumari scored a lone consolation goal for Sitamarhi in the 73rd minute
to make it 1-3.
Roshan Gupta, Ashfaque Alam, Madhu Kumari and Md Karrar were
the officials for the match.
In the second semifinal to be played on Thursday, Munzaffarpur
will take on Siwan.
