National Petanque Championships begin in Gaya






Gaya: The 13thSenior and 11th Sub-junior National Petanque Championships got off to a colourful start at Devghat (Vishnupad) here.

Organising secretary Vinay Kumar Singh welcomed the guests while Vijay Kumar felicitated them by presenting mementos. Indian Petanque Federation (IPF) president Girish Parmar, IPF general secretary Bharat Chauhan and Vinay Kumar Singh released the balloons in the air to inaugurate the tournament.

About 500 players from 20 states have been participating in the tournament.


The opening match of the tournament was played between hosts Bihar and Delhi.
