Amrita Kumar scored the match winner in the 4th minute
of the extra time after both the teams locked goalless in the regulation
period.
The match began in fast pace as both teams were seen looking
for opportunity to open the account. Both the teams applied their best in the
first half utilizing their wings but the elusive goal eluded them. The first
half ended 0-0
The second half too saw impressive football from both the
teams. Siwan had some upper hand but their forwards failed to convert some
opportunities into goal.
After the barren second half, 10-10 minutes extra time rule
came into force. Amrita Kumar latched onto ball near the West
Champaran post and shot it perfectly into the rival goal to make
it 1-0.
The later part of the match saw West
Champaran girls striving hard to score the equaliser but that went
in vain.
