Patna, August 27, 2010: Patna Central School (PCS) won ND Grover memorial inter-school basketball title defeating Delhi Public School (DPS) 26-11 in the final at the DAV Public School (BSEB Colony) courts here on Friday.
In girls’ section, Delhi Public School drubbed DAV School (BSEB Colony) 9-4 to clinch the trophy.
In boys’ semifinals, PCS beat BD Public School while DPS outplayed DAV School, Khagaul. In girls’ group, DAV School, BSEB Colony beat BD Public School and DPS beat Notre Dame Academy.
Yogesh Kumar of PCS and Sameera Raza of DPS were adjudged best players of the tournament in the boys and girls’ sections respectively.
Dr RP Singh Rahi, former principal, Patna College, gave away the prizes.
