Don Bosco Academy begin title hunt in style

Patna, August 27, 2010: Don Bosco Academy, Kandriya Vidyalaya (Kankarbagh), Krishna Niketan and Leeds Asian Schools won their respective first round matches in style in the 15th Dhyanchand throwball championships for Sudarshan Cup at Bankipore Girls School ground here of Friday.


Earlier, Acharya Sudarshan Sports and Cultural Foundation chairman BK Sudarshan inaugurated the three-day meet. Throwball Association of Bihar secretary Neeraj Kumar Pappu welcomed the guest while foundation president SP Singh presided over the function.

Results: Girls group: (Pool-‘A’)- Don Bosco Academy bt Khagaria Throw ball Association 15-0, 15-2. Kendriya Vidyalaya Kankarbagh bt Krishna Niketan 15-9, 15-8. Krishna Niketan bt Khagaria Public School 15-12, 15-12. Don Bosco Academy bt Kendriya Vidalaya Kankarbagh 16-14, 12-15, 15-8.
Pool ‘B’: Patna Central School bt Don Bosco ‘Junior’ 15-10, 15-13, Kendriya Vidalaya Bailey Road bt Dayanand Kenya Vidalaya 12-15, 15-6, 15-6. Patna Central School bt Dayanand Kenya Vidalaya 15-9, 17-15.

Boys Group: Pool ‘A’- Patna Central School bt ShastriNagar Boys High School 15-4, 15-0. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kankarbagh bt Khagaria Throwball Association 15-6, 15-9. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kankarbagh bt LBS Boys High School 15-5, 6-15, 15-9.
