In the first semifinal, Madhya
Pradesh Hockey
Academy will face Jharkhand while
Haryana will take on Chandigarh
in the second semifinal.
In the men’s category, Jharkhand, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh
Hockey Academy
qualified for semifinals.
Kumud Ekka and Sudhir Mundu scored twice each as Jharkhand
registered 6-5 win over Karnataka in Pool A to enter the semifinals.
Karnataka was leading 4-1 till half time but Jharkhand came
from behind and scored five goals in the second half to register second
consecutive win in the tournament. Jharkhand scored throughKumud Ekka (22 min),
Amit Bhengra (37 min), Sudhir Mundu (43, 60 min), Budu Tuti (46, 62 min) and
while Karnataka scored through Aron Saroj Anand (14, 27, 29 min), Own Goal (28
min) and Kumud Ekka (48 min).
In the other match of Pool A, Odisha edge past The Hockey
Maharashtra 9-0 to enter the semi-finals. Odisha scored through Sudhir
Kujur (3, 68 min), Suraj Minz (4 min), Punit Kujur (7 min), Ashwin Kujur (22
min), Amit (27 min), Dipshan (34 min), Tikie Kujur (43 min) and Ashish Toppo
(56 min).
