In the semifinals, Haryana takes on Jharkhand while MPHA
will clash with Punjab .
Haryana pulled off a fine 8-0 win against fancied Odisha in
the first quarterfinal match.
Haryana, for whom Jyoti Gupta (4), Nicky (1), Malkeet Kaur
(1), Navpreet Kaur (1) and Navneet Kaur (1) scored, thus remained unbeatable in
the championship.
In the second quarterfinal match, Punjab
edged past Tamil Nadu 9-1. For Punjab Ruchi Batta (2), Baljeet Kaur (2),
Navjeet Kaur (2), Sandeep Kaur (2) and Kuljeet Kaur (1) scored while Tamil
Nadu’s only reply came from Parmeswari.
In the third quarterfinal match, Jharkhand beat Uttar
Pradesh 7-1. Goal scorers for Jharkhand were Rajni Soreng (1st min),
Punam Madhuri Tete (10th, 20th min), Swati Herenj (33rd min), Anima
Minz (56th min), Rukmani Dodray (62nd min) and Nomita Xalxo
(65th min) while Kavita Maurya (14th min) scored the only goal for
Uttar Pradesh.
In the fourth quarterfinal match, Madhya Pradesh Hockey
Academy (MPHA) registered easy win over Delhi
6-1.
MPHA scored through R Ramngaihzuali (27 min), Diksha Tiwari
(33 min), Priyanka Wankhede (35, 54, 58 min) and Own Goal (37 min). For
Delhi Manisha Verma (57 min) scored the only goal
